Giving

We believe that giving in various ways is a large part of following Jesus, whether that be with our time, our gifts or our money, and we’re so thankful for the many ways that people give at St Andrew’s.

Many members of St Andrew’s choose to give financially, through regular giving or through one-off gifts to the church. All financial gifts, no matter how much, are used wisely to further God’s Kingdom in Charminster and live out our vision to Know Good News, Be Good News and Share Good News.

If you’d like to give financially to St Andrew’s Church, you can find out more below:

  • To give monthly, quarterly or annually via direct debit, visit our Parish Giving Scheme page.

  • To give a one-off gift online, please visit our Parish Giving Scheme page.

  • Each Sunday, we take up an offering collection. This can be given either in the form of cash, cheques or using our contactless giving machine. Speak to a member of the team to find out more.

  • Many employers offer Payroll Giving which allows you to give directly to St Andrew’s from your salary before tax is deducted. This means if you give £100 per month and are a basic rate taxpayer, the gift will only cost you £80 from your net pay.

If you pay a higher rate of tax, £100 a month will only cost you £60 from your net pay. To find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving, contact your HR office.

  • Many employers offer matched giving schemes. In most cases, the company will match your donation pound-for-pound up to a specific amount; a handful of organisations will even double your gift.

You can download a list of companies that we understand currently match gifts donated by their employees. This list is not definitive, and many more companies may also offer this option.

If your employer is not listed, please contact the Human Resources or Social Responsibility Office at your workplace to find out if they operate a matched giving scheme.

  • Legacy giving is when you choose to give money to St Andrew’s in your will.
