Legacy Giving
Legacy giving is when you choose to give money to St Andrew’s in your will. You can give a percentage of your remaining estate (after bills and giving to your family and friends) or you can give a lump sum.
If you wish to do this, you will need to make a will, or update an existing will.
To help you consider the options and to take advantage of a free will writing service view the Church of England's Legacy Guidance visit www.churchofengland.org/our-faith/church-legacy
To give a share of your estate to St Andrew’s, use the following wording:
“I give ______ % of my residuary estate free of all taxes to St Andrew’s Charminster, Bournemouth (registered charity number 1130076) in the Diocese of Winchester for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of an officer of the Senior Leadership Team shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.”
Donations received from legacies hold the potential to bring about significant positive changes in both the church's existence and its influence on the local community. Even a modest fraction of the remaining estate can translate into a substantial sum, playing a vital role in supporting our vision to be Good News for Charminster.
